Asclepias verticillata. Commonly found in open woods, dry fields, and prairies. Attracts a variety of pollinators and is a host plant for Monarch Butterfly larvae. Great addition to prairie restorations and in woodland or prairie gardens. Grows well in dry to mesic soil conditions in full sunlight to filtered sunlight. Height ranges from 1-3′. White/green flowers bloom in Summer to early Fall.
