Red Oak - Quercus rubra

Red oak has a rapid growth rate with a mature height of 60-80 feet and a crown spread of 40-50 feet. It prefers rich, moist, well-drained soils, is moderately drought-tolerant, and will grow in partial shade. Leaves are pointed and glossy green, turning orange to red in the fall. Acorns are oblong to round and pale brown and provide food for wildlife. Matures at 200-300 years.
